Having played with ルドラクシャ for so long, the one I feel most attached to is the マーラー in my hands. I had nothing to do today, so I took it out and snapped a few photos to show everyone its current state.
I acquired this マーラー a few years ago. At the time, it was just an ordinary yellow-skin ルドラクシャ(大玉) with decent 紋様 and good density; nothing particularly outstanding. I didn't expect that after ブレイクイン for so long, its current color and パティナ would be far better than I anticipated.

Honeycomb ルドラクシャ 1.5 years ブレイクイン results
When the new seeds first arrived, the color was very light and felt a bit rough to the touch. I didn't know any better at the time and thought just playing with it more would suffice. After a week of ブレイクイン with no changes, I even thought the seeds were defective.
Later, I read through many posts and finally figured out that the initial preparation wasn't done cleanly; アルカリ析出 and fruit flesh residue were still attached to the surface. So, I switched back to a stiff-bristle brush, brushing for twenty minutes every day for about a month. I cleaned out all the dirt in the 紋様, and the surface of the seeds gradually developed a warm, matte finish.
Once the initial preparation was properly done, I started normal ブレイクイン. For the first three months, brushing was the main focus and hand-rubbing secondary: twenty minutes of brushing and ten minutes of rubbing every day. After three months, it achieved a 光沢 with a thin layer of luster on the surface, and at this point, I could rub more and brush less. Around half a year, the color noticeably deepened from light brownish-yellow to light brown, and the surface luster became increasingly apparent.

Current appearance
Now, the color of this ルドラクシャ マーラー is deep red, translucent and bright, with a thick パティナ and a strong jade-like quality. Looking at it in the sunlight, every seed exudes a warm luster; the 龍脊 is translucent, the valleys are slightly darker, and the three-dimensional feel of the 紋様 is exceptionally strong. It feels pleasantly heavy and solid in the hand.
A friend said this マーラー looks redder than his three-year-old one and asked for my secret. There really is no secret: just don't be lazy, don't apply oil, and don't fuss over it unnecessarily.
Looking back at the ブレイクイン over the past two years, there is actually no special secret, just patience. Rubbing and brushing a bit every day, not rushing, and not fussing. When encountering problems, I looked up information and found ways to solve them without giving up. Over time, the マーラー will naturally reward you.
Summary
When it comes to playing with マーラーs, ultimately, you are not playing with the マーラー, but tempering your own mind. You cannot rush it, nor can you be lazy. Those twenty minutes every day, watching the seeds slowly change, also allows the mind to gradually settle down.
I'll leave the photos of this マーラー here for now and will update if there are new changes. Thanks to the friends who read up to this point, see you in the next post.
