Selected a string of 22mm large seeds for the customer. It looks very imposing when worn on the hand

Rudraksha (large) seed selection

This Rudraksha mala was recently selected for a customer. I selected a string of 22mm large seeds for the customer. The customer had watched several strings in the live stream before, either with inflated prices or average seed quality. Introduced by a friend, he found me and asked me to select a string that met his expectations.

I first confirmed the customer's requirements. The size was 20mm, liked short-stem and thick-fleshed ones, with a budget of around two thousand. Usually, it was mainly for wearing and occasionally breaking-in. After confirming the requirements, I started looking for seeds. I contacted several regular suppliers and looked at three batches of seeds in total.

The whole process of selecting 22mm Rudraksha (large) seeds

The process of selecting seeds is actually quite time-consuming. The first step is to measure the size, and those between 19.8 and 20.2mm are kept; the second step is to check the density and skin color, discard the light ones and those with shaded or variegated skin; the third step is to check the stem shape, with the short-stem height below 18mm; the fourth step is to check the texture, the thick-fleshed ones should be plump and each seed should have a similar style.

It took three days to select fourteen seeds from more than two hundred seeds, twelve for the main string and two as spares. For these fourteen selected seeds, the size, stem shape, texture and color of each seed are very uniform. They feel heavy in the hand and have good density.

After the seeds are selected, start drilling and stringing. Use a 1.5mm drill bit and slow down the rotation speed. Drill each seed slowly to avoid cracking. When stringing, each seed should be in the same direction, with the front facing outwards and the dragon-ridge direction unified. It looks neat when viewed from all angles. After stringing and trying it on, the customer's wrist circumference is 17.5cm, and twelve 20mm seeds plus the Buddha head fit perfectly.

Finished product effect and customer feedback

After stringing, I sent it to the customer. He looked at it over and over again and was very satisfied. He said that those he saw in the live stream before either had inconsistent sizes or uneven texture depths, and the prices were also high. The string I selected was carefully chosen and each one was very uniform, much better than those in the live stream.

Actually, selecting a string for a customer is like this. It takes time and is tiring for the eyes, but the customer will feel comfortable wearing the selected string and will also be happy looking at it. For this kind of cultural relic, the most important thing is to be conscientious. If you are conscientious towards it, it will give you something in return.

Summary

If any friends also want to select a string of Rudraksha, it is recommended to be patient and not rush. Compare more and look more, and the selected seeds will not be bad. For this kind of cultural relic, the most important thing is to enjoy the process and can't be rushed.

I hope everyone can select a string that satisfies them and enjoy the breaking-in process.
