Select high-quality products from common goods
This Rudraksha mala was recently selected for a customer. I picked this high-quality one from a batch of common goods. The customer had watched several malas in the live stream before. Either the price was inflated or the quality of the seeds was average. Introduced by a friend, he found me and asked me to help him pick a satisfactory one.
I first confirmed the customer's requirements. The size should be 20mm, preferring short-stem and thick-fleshed. The budget is around 2,000 yuan. Usually, it is mainly for wearing and occasionally for breaking-in. After confirming the requirements, I started looking for seeds. I contacted several regular suppliers and looked at three batches of seeds in total.

Select high-quality Rudraksha mala from common goods
The process of selecting seeds is actually quite time-consuming. The first step is to measure the size, and those between 19.8 and 20.2mm are kept; the second step is to check the density and skin color, don't take the light ones, and don't take the ones with shaded or variegated skin; the third step is to check the stem type, the height of the short-stem should be below 18mm; the fourth step is to check the texture, the thick-fleshed ones should be plump and the style of each bead should be similar.
It took three days to select fourteen seeds from more than two hundred seeds. Twelve are used as the main beads and two as spare seeds. For these fourteen selected seeds, the size, stem type, texture, and color of each bead are very uniform. They feel heavy in the hand and have good density.
After the seeds are selected, start drilling holes and stringing them. Use a 1.5mm drill bit and slow down the rotation speed. Drill each bead slowly to avoid cracking. When stringing, the direction of each bead is the same, facing outwards, and the dragon-ridge direction is unified. It looks neat when rotated. After stringing and trying it on, the customer's wrist circumference is 17.5cm. Twelve 20mm seeds plus the Buddha head are just right.

Finished product effect and customer feedback
After stringing, I sent it to the customer. He looked at it over and over again and was very satisfied. He said that those he saw in the live stream before either had inconsistent sizes or uneven texture depths, and the prices were also high. The one I picked was carefully selected and each one was very uniform, much better than those in the live stream.
Actually, picking a mala for a customer is like this. It takes time and is tiring for the eyes, but the customer is comfortable wearing the picked mala and happy looking at it. For this kind of cultural relic, the most important thing is to be careful. If you are careful with it, it will give you something in return.
Speaking of this
If some friends also want to pick a Rudraksha, it is recommended to be patient and not rush. Compare more and look more. The seeds picked out will not be bad. For this kind of cultural relic, the fun is in the process and you can't be impatient.
Hope everyone can pick a satisfactory mala and enjoy the breaking-in process.
