Accessory Matching
Friends often ask me about custom Rudraksha malas, and whether they can choose accessories for a custom piece. Today I've organized all the questions about customization to explain everything clearly.
Customizing a Rudraksha mala can be as complex or as simple as you make it. The key is finding the right person and clearly communicating your needs. I usually confirm a few details with the client first, then start selecting beads and stringing.

Recommended Accessory Combinations for Custom Rudraksha
First, you need to be clear about your requirements — wrist size, preferred grain/texture, budget, and any preferences on skin color or shape. Once these are settled, I can start selecting beads. Many people just say "make me a mala" without any details — that's really hard to work with. We need to communicate clearly first.
The second step is bead selection. Based on your requirements, I pick beads from a batch of raw Rudraksha that are similar in size, shape, grain/texture, and skin color. This step takes the most time, usually three to five days.
Once the beads are ready, I drill and string them, adjust the tightness, add accessories, and do a full check before arranging shipment. I always send you photos of the finished piece for approval before shipping.
The entire customization cycle is usually five to seven days, with bead selection taking up most of the time. The advantage of customization is that the size fits your wrist perfectly, the bead quality is guaranteed, and the overall result is much better than mass-produced malas from physical stores.

Customization Notes
There are a few things to keep in mind when customizing. First, measure your wrist size accurately — wrap a soft tape measure around the thickest part of your wrist, not too tight and not too loose. Second, state your budget clearly in advance, as bead quality varies greatly across price ranges.
Third, be clear about your grain/texture preference — honeycomb, double-dragon, plum blossom, and coiled-dragon each have their own characteristics. Specify which style you like. Fourth, if you need accessories, mention it in advance — spacer beads, Buddha head, and back cloud pendants can all be added.
Fifth, if the size isn't right after customization, you get one free adjustment. So try it on as soon as you receive it, and contact me promptly if something doesn't fit.
A Few Thoughts
Customizing a Rudraksha mala is really like this — communicate your needs clearly, wait patiently for bead selection, and finally receive a mala that fits perfectly. It costs a bit more and takes a bit longer than buying off the shelf, but the quality and fit are guaranteed.
If any friends want to customize, feel free to reach out. Tell me your needs clearly, and I'll recommend a suitable plan. With these pieces, finding the right one for you is what matters most — what suits you is what's good.
